Dr John Hatzis graduated from dentistry at Melbourne University in 1989. He worked in private dental practice in the inner city suburbs of Melbourne and as a locum dentist for the Royal Australian Navy Base at Cerberus on the Mornington Peninsula.
He broadened his skills in cosmetic dentistry and oral surgery during this period.
John founded Oakstone Dental in 1991 and has overseen its expansion in its original location ever since. With unrivalled enthusiasm for his profession and his wonderful patients, he is driven continually to extend the depths of his knowledge and undertake further intensive training programmes.
He is a caring, gentle dentist who is motivated, well presented and calm.
His special interests are dental crowns and veneers, cosmetically enhancing and creating a smile makeover and dental implants.
He provides all and more expected from a general dentist, building up broken down and worn teeth, management of jaw problems, treatment of sleep apnoea and snoring and removal of wisdom teeth.
Dr John Hatzis is able to provide excellence in dentistry with appreciation to his extraordinary dental assistants who have been with him a long time and with the assistance of the latest in innovative dental technology.
Dr Hatzis has undertaken extensive short and long-term courses and is a member of various international and national dental societies. His most recent course gained him accreditation into the Australian Dental Sleep Institute and is a long-standing member of the Australian Dental Association.
When away from Oakstone Dental, he enjoys spending time with his wife and three boys. Dr Hatzis is interested in boating, travelling, AFL, NRL, and going out for brunch!
